Keep the Faith

(2 Timothy 4:7)

Voices were silenced
Footfalls were stilled;
Chairs were left vacant
Just as God willed

Some went in the morning
Full of delight;
Some went in the evening
They fought a good fight.

They gladden the mansions
The mansions above
In our Father’s house
A home full of love

And no heed was paid
To one’s worldly estate
When his course was finished,
Were it early or late.

Then when our time comes
How many can say,
“The Faith I have kept
In the Lord’s Holy Way.”
